The start:
We will all start together from the modern and well-planned desert town of Arad…… the gateway to an amazing experience in the wilderness!
The On-Road Riders:
After riding through the magical Yatir Forest - the largest planted forest in Israel - we will stop at Mt. Amasa, a lookout post over the stunning scenery of the Judean desert and Arad Valley. Whilst traversing the length and breadth of the Negev we will get to know well the impressive desert craters (machteshim) and virgin landscapes.
The Challenge Riders:
"Gliding" down the impressive Mt. Masada will be an exhilarating experience !
We will ride alongside vibrantly colored craters and even reach Mt. Harif, on the border with Egypt.
For the first time in the history of Wheels of Love our physical ability will be stretched to the limit; We have a new challenge called "Grand Fondo", Riding 100 miles (160 km!) in one day!
The Off-Road Riders:
We will enjoy some of the wonderful sights of the Negev and Judean deserts …… the occasional oasis, breath taking geological formations, amazing wadis …. all with the usual, great camaraderie!
Touring Riders:
We will enjoy the tranquil parts of the On-road route, together with its main attractions. Additionally, we will visit some of the most fascinating tourist sites in the area.
All the riders:
We will gather in Be'er Sheba on Wednesday evening to enjoy the long-awaited Wheels of Love "Bar Mitzvah" party!!
On Thursday morning we will take a deep breath and begin the challenging climb up to Jerusalem!
The ALYN Children will be waiting for us at the finish line!
